The
Pacific Symphonic Wind Ensemble,
in conjunction with the CBC and Dutch Music Week, is presenting two
concerts of music by Dutch composers including Johan de Meij's new
three movement TROMBONE CONCERTO. It is a fantastic piece: technically
very challenging but also very lyrical and exciting to listen to. The
slow movement is one of the most beautiful in the trombone solo
repertoire. Come out to Coquitlam and hear the phenomenal local talent
Neal
Bennett, and hit the Vogue a week later to hear
Jörgen van
Rijen, the young and amazing principal trombonist of the
Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.

soloists in a concert setting, accompanied by full Wind Band. Don't
