The Vancouver Area Brass Band Society, founded in 2003, serves as a coordination body for brass instrument related groups, events, and interests in Vancouver, Canada, and the surrounding area.

Purpose

The articles of incorporation for the non-profit society state its purpose:

1. To manage, promote and develop the Little Mountain Brass Band
2. To receive, hold, invest, administer and distribute funds and properties for the purposes of the Society.
3. To promote, encourage and assist in the development of brass bands in the province of BC
4. To develop and maintain an archive of brass band music and history in the province of BC
5. To undertake similar and related activities as determined by the membership and executive

Membership

Individuals and groups may become members of the society.
